The College of Medicine – Tucson trains future physicians to provide high-quality and compassionate care, develops scientists focused on exciting discoveries, and nurtures undergraduate and graduate students interested the many professions in health care and the health sciences. The College of Medicine – Tucson is part of University of Arizona Health Sciences, the statewide leader in health care education.

From an initial class of just 32 students when it was founded in 1967 as the state’s first MD degree-granting college, today the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson has graduated more than 4,500 physicians. College of Medicine – Tucson students, faculty, staff and alumni continue more than 50 years of service in advancing medical care, biomedical research and knowledge in Arizona — and around the world.

The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson is currently fully accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME).
