All first year selections for graduate medical education programs are made through the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). The only exceptions are those permitted under NRMP rules.
All appointments are made through the Graduate Medical Education Office with the recommendation of the Program Director.
Appointment packets are sent on April 1 of each year by the Graduate Medical Education (GME) Office, following the NRMP results.
All residents and fellows are required by the State of Arizona to obtain a training license from the Arizona Medical Board or the Arizona Board of Osteopathic Examiners. This license is obtained through the GME Office and is valid only for training purposes.
